Christmas Pictures!

Becky (Aaron's sister) and I went to and got the kiddo's pictures taken today! Can I just say that they are SOOO cute! Grace, like always, would not give us a huge smile but gave a dainty little grin. Chase on the other hand was full of huge smiles and lots of tongue shots! They have grown so much! I can't believe it!
There is new news! Yeah for new stuff! I was released as the 6-7 year old teacher in Primary and got called into the Young Women's. I am now the Mia Maid Advisor! I'm really excited but nervous at the same time.
I'm still working at The Children's Place. A little too much but it is one of the busiest times of the year so I'm hoping that after Christmas my hours will go down. I don't know how I ever worked full time! It's so draining just working 25 or 30 hours a week! On to Aaron...
Aaron still is the 10-11 year olds Scout Master and he teaches the Elder's Quorum every six Sunday's. Between the both of us we are just a little bit busy! He is still working at Extra Space Storage and really enjoys his job. He loves to take care of Grace while I'm at work. Aaron's birthday is tomorrow but I made him open up the presents I got him. I got him four sweater vests and one zip up sweater. He looks really hot in sweater vests! I'll take a picture and show you so you ladies out there can be jealous and drool over him! Maybe not his sisters but everyone else can! He still has one present that Grace got him but she couldn't give it to him because she was sleeping, I'm post a picture of that present because it is the greatest one!
"I bagged Grace and throw her in bed." I quoted Aaron. Aaron got a fleece sleeper bag so she'll be warmer at night. It looks really cute on her. She is growing like a weed. She loves to pull herself up to a standing position and is really good at just standing. She has started to cruise, and loves to yell for your attention. She babbles a lot but I think she thinks she is actually saying something because her face is so expressive.
I think that is about it in our neck of the woods. If I don't get on here before Christmas here is a Merry Christmas wish for you! Hope it is a good one!

It has been TOO long!

I'm so sorry everyone about not posting sooner! We've been busy with everyday life and other things! There are just a few things to report. So here it goes!
On Sunday November 25th Grace crawled up the stairs for the first time! How exciting is that! I tried to make her do it the next day and she wouldn't. She would look back at me and give me this face like she was telling me "Mom, would you like to carry me up the stairs? I really don't want to do this today." She already has facial expressions that crack me up!
She can pull herself up from a sitting position to a standing one if she is leaning against something.
She loves to hear herself "talk;" she is extremely vocal. We thought she was vocal before but that was nothing compared to this! She loves to say "Mmomomommm" and Ddaaaddaaa." We totally think she is saying Mama and Dada but she most likely isn't.
She loves playing Peek a Boo. She holds the blanket in front of her face and then jerks it down with the biggest most precious smile ever!
What did we ever do before we had her? We feel so blessed to have her! Anyway that is it for the updates. Honestly, there is really nothing new to report. We are a boring family I guess. Oh well! We're happy and that's all that matters!

Under construction! (And pictures...lots and lots of 'em)

As you can see our blog is under construction right now! Sorry, it might take awhile for us, by us I mean Aaron, to get it how we want it, by we I mean me!
Halloween is fast approaching and then comes my favorite holiday. Want to guess what it is? It's Thanksgiving! I LOVE Thanksgiving! Having your family around, eating as much as you want, having leftover turkey sandwiches with mayo, a holiday that no one gets presents or even treats just good tasty food, to be thankful for what you have, to just remember your blessings... I could go on but I'll spare you. It's sad that the world doesn't care about Thanksgiving - we just skip it. This year and years to come, I will make it my own goal to not forget this great holiday! Every year we go around the table sharing what we are thankful for. I've really been trying to think of a good one. It seems that every year the same things get said. I guess that means that we are truly grateful for those things. What other traditions do you have for Thanksgiving? Wanna give me some ideas so I can start some new ones? If so leave me a comment.
We FINALLY got our family pictures! We have imported them on our computer so I'll be posting some. I've promised lots of people for Grace's 6th month, Halloween costume, "Model", and family pictures. So this one will be LONG but fun to look at! Hope you enjoy!
Oh, by the way Grace has her second tooth in! It is on the bottom right by her first one! Exciting! Anyway, without further delay...PICTURES!!

Teeth, Goal Weight and Duke!

I know, very strange title but so much has happened these last few days! We'll start with the most exciting news of all! Grace has gotten her first tooth in! We are so excited! So all of the drooling, runny nose and crankiness was all because of one little tooth! It is one of the front, bottom teeth (like you really care what tooth it is!). This is how it happened, Saturday morning Aaron was playing with her and he checked to see if there were teeth yet and there was nothing. Then about two hours later, while we were watching conference, Grace was sucking on Aaron's finger, and when he went to pull it out, she chomped down on him a bit. Aaron suddenly lit up and said "that's a tooth...she's got a tooth." Then I inspected it and sure enough, he was right. We're so proud of her!
Now for the other news. Aaron and I have decided that Duke will be living with us again. I have come to grips with Duke's shedding and have let Duke come back home. Aaron is excited and same with Grace. I honestly think it will be a good thing. He is great around Grace and Grace LOVES him! Every time she looks at Duke she giggles. She loves it when he gives her "little" kisses. We will have to take some video of them "playing" together and post it. It is more like Grace torturing Duke and Duke taking it or sniffing her, it's entertaining.
Now for the last of the news I have. For the past six months (as soon as Grace was born) I have been trying to lose weight. I have now gotten down to my goal weight! I am proud to announce that I weigh 130 lbs! I am proud of myself and I don't care if everyone in the world knows how much I weigh! Now the key is to keep it off.
Other than that there isn't anything new here. Just trying to stay caught up on things. I hope this brings you into our world just a bit. Really our lives aren't this entertaining!
Oh, one little note, Aaron was going to post a video of Grace bouncing up and down in her bouncy chair but we can't download the video with Vista so we are in the process of figuring out a solution. We apologize for the this let down!

Our growing girl!

I am the WORST mom ever! Yesterday was Grace's six month birthday! All day I was telling myself, "I have to take pictures of her today, don't forget! Oh, I have to take pictures of her for her "Boo-Boo Files" too." And guess what I forgot to do? I forgot to take the pictures! Man! This sucks! Why do I have to be so forgetful? Of course I took pictures of her on Monday but none yesterday! I guess I shouldn't beat myself up too hard, I'll probably do something worse in the future.
Grace went to her sixth month check yesterday. She is 26 1/2 in. long (75th percentile), 16 lbs. 1 oz. (50% percentile), and her head's circumference is 42 cm. (50th percentile). So, she is average for her age. I'm not complaining. To us though, she is far from average!
Grace will be starting her modeling career early. I have a co worker who is getting her degree in fashion and she has asked Aaron and I if she can use Grace as one of her models. Grace will be modeling Halloween customes that my co worker will be making. I'm really excited! She'll have a photo shoot and everything! I'll keep you updated and I'll post some pictures of it. One day she'll be rich enough to support Aaron and I. Wishful thinking, I know!
One quick note before I go and you can get back to your active, interesting lives. Aaron and I will be having family pictures on October 4th with Darla. Darla is the one that took our wedding pictures. If you have any suggestions on colors please let me know. We will be taking the pictures outside in the mountains.
Also, we'll be taking sixth month pictures of Grace and her Cousin (I don't know if I can use his name, oh well) on Saturday in their Halloween customes and coordinating outfits. I'm so excited for that too. Can't wait!
Well, hope everything is great! I'll talk or see you soon!
Here are some scrapbook pages of her "Boo-Boo files" and some other adorable pictures! Enjoy!

First post!

I've started a blog! Yeah! I'm getting computer savvy! The reason why I've started a blog is because we have family and friends that live out of state and I would like them to know what is going on in the McDonald Clan. I want them to get an update on what we are doing and how Grace is growing. Bear with me as I learn and try new things.

Well, Aaron and I are doing great! We are busy with work, raising Grace and our church callings. But we love it. We cherish the time that we have together though.

Grace is just too cute! She is growing and learning things so fast, it is simply amazing. Some of her recent accomplishments are: she's raising herself into a crawling position and getting frustrated because she can't move, she is an awesome sitter, she started to jump in her bouncy chair today, and she snorted today when she laughed! I hope she has my laugh! Her smile makes anyone that sees it so happy! What did we do without her?

I'll try and post bi-weekly on Tuesdays and I'll post pics and scrapbook pages too. Hopefully you can all see how Grace is growing and share in our happiness.

BTW, for this layout I used Digital Scrapbook Memories "Playground" paper and arrow and the cardboard piece is from Digital Scrapbook Freebies "Cardboard Pieces" by Verena Karolyi.
